After successfully completing the Presentation Technology Module, students will be able to do the following:

• Discuss the basic purposes of PowerPoint.
• Describe the basic components of the digital camera.
• Demonstrate the proper way to capture images with the digital camera.
• Demonstrate the proper way to transfer images from the camera to the computer.
• Create a PowerPoint presentation.
• Apply a template to the presentation.
• Insert graphics into the presentation.
• Add comments to the slides in the presentation.
• Plan the layout and text sequences for a slide show.
• Change, add, or mix background designs and background colors.
• Add placeholders and format text, Clip Art, WordArt, images, transitions, animations, and sound on the slides.
• Save the slide presentation as a video.
• Make a printed copy of the slide presentation.
• Add speaker notes to each of the slides.
• Use the Rehearsal Timing function to set accurate slide appearance timing.
• Make a public presentation of the slide show

 

Objectives:  After successfully completing Activity 1, you will be able to do the following:

1. Discuss the basic purposes of PowerPoint.
2. Describe the basic components of the digital camera.
3. Demonstrate the proper way to capture images with the digital camera.
4. Demonstrate the proper way to transfer images from the camera to the computer.

1. Create a PowerPoint presentation.
2. Apply a template to the presentation.

4. Add comments to the slides in the presentation.

1. Change, add, or mix background designs.

1. Add placeholders and format text to the slides.
2. Add text to the slides.
3. Add Clip Art, WordArt, and images to the slides.
4. Add transitions to the slides.
5. Add animations to the slides.

Objectives: After successfully completing Activity 5, you will be able to do the following:

1. Insert music, sounds, and narration into your slides.
2. Save your work as a video.
3. Make a printed copy of your work.

Objectives: After successfully completing Activity 6, you will be able to do the following:

1. Plan the layout and text sequences for a slide show.
2. Place pictures, Clip Art, WordArt, and text on the slides.
3. Add transitions, animations, and color schemes to a slide.
4. Make a trial run of Slides 1, 2, and 3 for the slide presentation

1. Use the Slide Sorter View to make any necessary changes to the order of slide sequence.
2. Use the Rehearsal Timing function to set accurate slide appearance timing.
3. Create a printed copy of the four components of the slide show.
4. Use the package function to create a file that is formatted to pass to another computer.
5. Make a public presentation of the slide show.

1. Demonstrate your knowledge of presentation technology by taking the Post-Test.
